Software frameworks like ROS (Robot Operating System) help manage communication between sensors, actuators, and algorithms. In industrial settings, robotic arms use inverse kinematics algorithms to convert target coordinates into joint movements, with force sensors enabling adaptive gripping. Challenges include latency (delays in sensor-to-actuator loops), power management for untethered robots, and robustness to sensor noise. Developers often simulate locomotion in tools like Gazebo before deploying to hardware, iterating on parameters like gait patterns or motor torque limits to optimize performance.
